On Wednesday, September 22 at 6:30 p.m. STEPHEN is back to teach us a DILL-ICIOUS HERB MENU ($48). Featuring the flavor of fresh dill, we’ll learn it’s good for a lot more than just pickling. We’ll learn about its history and legends, and we’ll enjoy a Dilled Beet and Buttermilk Soup. Our German-heritage students will love the German Pickle Pot Roast served with handmade Dill Späetzle. To accompany, we’ll learn to make Asparagus Baked with Dill in a Parchment Bag. Dessert reintroduces us to an old custom of a wonderful Lemon, Dill & Pistachio Sharing Cookie. STEPHEN LEE is our intrepid friend and mentor from Louisville. The owner of the (now closed) Cookbook Cottage, is a registered auctioneer in both Indiana and Kentucky, director of food for the Kentucky State Fair, etc. etc. and a cooking instructor for over 25 years, teaching all over the U.S. The “HerbMeister” has two new classes on this schedule and I, for one, can’t wait.
