BASIC KNIFE SKILLS CLASS, on Tuesday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. This class costs ($45) per person, but each participant will take home a forged Wüsthof paring knife (list price: $67). In addition, you’ll take home some very valuable knowledge of techniques of slicing, carving, mincing, chopping and even some garnishing tips. You’ll learn what makes a good knife, and which knife to use when. We’ll also discuss sharpening, storing and proper cleaning of fine cutlery. This is a good basic class for everyone, no matter what their level of culinary expertise! It also always sells out, with a waiting list, but we can’t offer it again until fall, so sign up right away, If you want to take it this spring. Get a handle on it!
