IN THIS ISSUE, we're getting re-acquainted with garlic, and appreciating it at a whole new level. Roasted garlic transforms a creamy salad dressing, sliced garlic infuses flavor into a quick fresh tomato pasta, and coveted black garlic is featured in a roasted chicken. Start cooking!

FEBRUARY 2018 COOKING CLASSES   
 
Friday, February 16 - 6:00pm
DATE NIGHT: PIZZA PARTY! 
Looking to add some spice to your cooking life!? This won't be your ordinary night on the town. Grab your significant other and immerse yourself for a night away from home. And the best part is, we'll do the dishes! What is the secret to a stretchy and flavorful pizza dough? How do you create a crispy pizza crust? These questions and more will be answered by Wil Wood, the owner of Love to Cook at Kitchen Kneads. Receive hands-on instruction on mixing your own pizza dough as well as tips to creating pizza with your own personal twist. The Camp Chef pizza oven will be used in this class to show how delicious and fun artisan pizza can be to make at home but we'll also cover how to use a stone in your home oven. Each couple will leave with pizza!

TACO TUESDAY (HANDS-ON) 
Everyone loves TACO TUESDAY! Learn how to make homemade corn tortillas right in your own kitchen with Chef Courtney Larsen. Working at a Cache Valley diner at 16, Malouf Executive Chef Courtney Larsen knew he had found his calling in the kitchen. The following years took him to restaurants across the globe. Larsen loves Mexican street food and his flavorful tacos inspire great admiration from all who try them. Cooking from scratch with only high-quality locally-sourced ingredients, Larsen believes that a truly great meal comes from giving the best of one's self to the people sharing it. Come get your hands dirty and make corn tortillas two different ways, taco fillings and delicious toppings. You will prep, cook & eat your delicious taco creation! Have fun with tacos in this hands-on class!

The macaron is notoriously difficult for the home baker. But now you can learn all the secrets to making the perfect macarons with pastry chef, Kanako Arnold. Join us for this hands-on class and master the essential pie-making skills. Our instructor, Lisa Clawson (owner of the Great Harvest Bakery Co.) will walk you through the steps for mixing, rolling and baking perfectly flaky crusts every time. Lisa will share some great pie fillings and each participant will take home a completed pie and lots of great fun & knowledge!
