Ken's Notes

Marietta has a couple of fun events going on this weekend, one will save you lots of money, the other is just lots of fun. Both are sponsored by ReStore Marietta. We hope you'll participate in both and support Downtown Marietta!

MERRY-ETTA MOONLIGHT SAVINGS SALE
Participating merchants in Marietta will be offering from 10% to 50% off all merchandise on Friday night, Dec. 2, from 5 pm to midnight. boosYour discount will be determined through a random drawing as you checkout. There are generally 15 to 20 stores that will be open late that night. It's a fun evening of shopping with the potential of big savings!

MARIETTA LOFT TOUR
On Saturday night, Dec. 3rd, from 5 to 8 pm, ten different loft spaces in downtown Marietta will be open for viewing. Some are residential, some are offices, some are unfinished and waiting for someone with a little creativity - but all are fascinating! If you're interested in old buildings and creative use of space weboos invite you to take the tour. Tickets are $10 and are available at the ReStore office, Washington County CVB and The Framing Gallery. We go every year, just to get a peek at the one or two spaces that we haven't seen yet!

PANTRY SOUP CLASS
I usually don't highlight a specific cooking class unless it's really unique - and this one is! On January 5th John Rossi will be conducting one of the more interesting classes we've ever had. Attendees are invited to bring something to class that's been sitting around in their pantry. John will gather up all the ingredients and make a soup. I can't guarantee that he'll use everything, but whatever the outcome, I'm sure it will be interesting and delicious. John is incredibly creative, truly an artist both in and out of the kitchen, and this is a rare chance for you to see that creativity in action. We hope you'll join us for a fun and unique evening!

Thank you for your continued support!
