When the breezes blow a little cooler, the leaves flutter to the ground, and an evening sweater is once again necessary, the first soup of the season that we make is this hearty, spicy Posole. It's a comfort food that hits the spot for an evening supper, or as game time fare.

Wednesday, September 23 - 12n - 1:00 - $10
THINKING OUTSIDE THE POT! - only 2 seats left!
So many people that come into the store remark that their favorite piece of cookware in their kitchen is a piece of Le Creuset. If you don't yet own a piece, by all means, sign up for this little mini-class. We'll show you the extreme versatility of this marvelous cookware while preparing some delicious dishes. Most folks know that you can make stews and soups in their enamel on cast iron cookware-but we wanted to take it a step further and show a few other ways to use some of their pieces. We won't take every dish from start to finish in class, in order to fit this into a mini-class, but you'll still get a complete packet of recipes and a taste of all we've prepared. Here's the menu:
- Crusty bread baked in a Le Creuset round French oven
- Tart Tatin in a braiser- delicious apple-y goodness, served upside-down!
- Sweet Potato chips prepared in a round oven with a fry basket - served on a Le Creuset platter with fabulous gourmet toppings! Oh, my!
- Apple & French onion dip in a skillet, fabulous and fall-ish!
What can you make in a piece of Le Creuset? Almost anything! Come and find out for yourself! Trish knows all the tips and tricks to get the most out of your cookware.

This class always provides a wealth of information and is quite entertaining as well. Each participant will leave with a Wusthof bench scraper that we normally sell for $14.99. C'mon-----learn something new!

It's that time of year! While Ed Bartush is here, he'll be available to sharpen your knives. Ed will graciously be sharpening your knives for free! You may bring up to three knives--no serrated, please. Knowing that our customers are a generous lot, we'll put out a jar for those who would like to help out COMMUNITY SHARING; a local organization that does a fantastic job of helping those in need in our community.
